Tarheel Leadership Adventures programs are facilitated by experienced leaders with backgrounds in wholesale and retail enterprises, commercial and non-profit management, and education.

Their years of real-world leadership experience, coupled with expertise in group facilitation and training, make for programs that engage, entertain and educate. Program participants return to their work responsibilities energized and inspired to reach higher goals.
 
Meet the Staff
 
 
Donna

Donna Shumate is director of Institutional Effectiveness and Professional Development at Johnston Community College. An Air Force veteran, Donna has a master's degree in training and development and a doctorate in higher education administration, both from N.C. State University. She is pursuing a master's degree in psychology from East Carolina University.

 
 
Donna

Lorine Davis has more than 20 years of experience in education, non-profit management, and leadership training. She is a co-founder and executive director of the Johnston County Education Foundation. She also serves Johnston County Schools as professional development facilitator in the School Improvement Department.

A graduate of Campbell University, Lorine has a master's degree in public school administration from N.C. State University and a certificate in non-profit management from Duke University.

 
Donna.
Neal Davis is a career entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in business ownership, strategic development, finance, sales and marketing. He has led business seminars and served as an executive-in-residence with N.C. State University's College of Management, where students are taught how to transform raw technologies into commercially viable products.Numerous civic organizations have benefitted from his leadership and service as a volunteer.
